Getting back online. Your questions answered

Why have I been suspended?

We check the FSA and FSS websites daily and they currently show that your business holds a food hygiene rating of 0 (zero).

Your rating as shown on the FSA or FSS website is the only proof of rating that Just Eat are able to accept. If you have been recently re-inspected it can take up to 28 days for your new rating to appear on the websites.

We announced some time ago that any Restaurant Partner with a 0-rating, or no rating on the FSA and FSS websites would be taken offline.

I have had a re-inspection. Why am I still offline?

Local councils are responsible for food hygiene ratings and for updating the results to the FSA and FSS websites. It may be that there is a backlog of results to be uploaded. Just Eat cannot update the websites and we are entirely bound by the current information on them.

You can call your local council and ask them to upload your completed paperwork ASAP (rather than after the standard 28 days) so that we can get you online again.  Unfortunately we cannot put you back online until the new inspection rating is published on the FSA website.

How long will I be offline?

If you were 0-rated prior to 1 May, made corrective actions and had a successful re-inspection that resulted in a rating of at least 1+ you’ll be back online just as soon the FSA or FSS website receives and publishes the new rating for your restaurant.

If you were 0-rated before 1 May and haven’t started taking steps to improve your rating yet, you should do so immediately. Re-inspections and updates to the FSA website can take some weeks from application. Prior to applying for a re-inspection you will need to take the required corrective actions, so the sooner you start the quicker the process can get going.

Where do I get help?

If you need help to improve your rating call LRQA, our food hygiene partners and leading experts in the field.

We can reinstate you as soon as you have been re-inspected and awarded an improved Food Hygiene Rating on the FSA website.
