Connect via Wi-Fi for the best Just Eat experience

As we’ve seen just recently, very occasionally data networks can experience severe disruption or failure, leading to outages and resulting in your restaurant going offline.

Whilst Orderpad lets you connect to the internet in different ways, including 4G, we always recommend that your Orderpad be connected via a Wi-Fi network or Ethernet broadband (restrictions apply).

How to connect to a Wi-Fi network

  1. Go to the orange home screen on the Orderpad device and select the Settings cog (top right)
  2. Select Wi-Fi
  3. Switch the Wi-Fi option on by tapping on the toggle
  4. Connect to a Wi-Fi network
  5. Your Wi-Fi signal strength is indicated at the top right of the screen

If you have previously connected to a Wi-Fi network and want to choose a new network, hold your finger on the ‘Connected’ network until you are given the option to ‘Forget’ this, and connect to a new Wi-Fi network.

Ensure you are connecting to an unrestricted network. Do not connect to open cloud networks that require authentication, as all other apps (e.g. browsers) are restricted.

Connecting via Ethernet
Plug the LAN cable into the rear of the Orderpad (restrictions apply). No additional set up is required.

Mobile/4G/SIM connection
This should be your last resort as a way to reliably receive orders on Just Eat. All Orderpads are equipped with a SIM that can connect via 2G, 3G and 4G.

In the event that a you are not connected to Wi-Fi, and your mobile/cellular connection has not kicked in, as a first step we would always recommend to manually reboot (turn off/turn on) the device, from the rear of the machine.
