Introducing our no minimum spend promotion

We want to help you drive more orders and attract more customers during the Summer months by removing the customer’s need for a minimum spend for 3 weeks, starting 31 May.

To ensure that this is successful for you, where you had a minimum order value prior to 28th May 2019, we’ll be compensating you with the difference if you see your order revenue drop during the promotional period.

We’ll take care of all the details, you just need to prepare for a welcomed seasonal rush.

Here’s what you’ll need to know:

  • How long will the Promotion last? The Promotion starts on the 31 May 2019 and will run until 21 June 2019. We reserve the right to end the promotion at any point during this time and should this be the case you will be informed by email (to your invoice email address).

  • Which postcodes are included? Restaurants that are located in or deliver to DH1-DH9, NE1-NE44, and SR1-SR9.

  • How are customers being told about this? We’re using all our marketing channels to ensure that customers in your area are aware of the offer and drive more orders and new customers to your restaurant.

  • Why are we doing it? We know that warmer months often mean orders drop. We are hoping that by removing the minimum spend, you will see an increase in orders and new customers.

  • Do I have to take part? No, you can opt out and reapply your minimum order value at any time, but if you do, you will miss out on us promoting you and any compensation you may be entitled to. We are investing a significant spend to bring more orders in for our partners and to provide more convenience for Just Eat customers. If you do wish to opt out, just let us know and we will reinstate your minimum order value.

Please note that participation in this promotion requires that you charge no minimum order at all times during the promotional period in all of the promotional postcodes. Switching it on, even for a short period, or in just one of the postcodes covered will mean that you will not receive any compensation that may become due.

  • When will my minimum order value disappear? The promotion goes live on 31 May. Your minimum order values for the participating postcodes will be removed from the website and app as of the start of this promotion.

  • If I don’t have a minimum order value on all or any of the promotional postcodes, will I get any compensation? If you were not charging a minimum order value for orders in certain postcodes on the 31 March then you will not receive compensation on minimum order value for the associated postcodes.

  • What if I charged a minimum order value on 28 May for some but not all of the postcodes in the Promotion? Wherever you charged a minimum order value (at a postcode level) you will be compensated for any loss of revenue you may have in that postcode during the promotional period.

  • How will I be compensated? The compensation is calculated based on a snapshot of your minimum order value for each postcode as of 31 March, and your average 21 days revenue derived from food sales to Just Eat customers made between 7 January and 31 March. In our email, we have outlined your average 21 days revenue in eligible postcodes that you were delivering to as at 28 May where you had an MOV, derived from food sales to Just Eat customers in the time period mentioned above. If the revenue you receive each 21 days during the Promotion period through Just Eat orders is lower than your average 21 days revenue based on our calculations, then you will be compensated for the difference.

  • When will I get my compensation? During the Promotion you will be compensated once. Compensation will be added to your Just Eat invoice on 2 July 2019.

  • What will make me eligible for this compensation? You will be eligible for compensation if your restaurant is located within, or delivers to, the selected postcodes in Durham, Sunderland and Newcastle Upon Tyne and you had a minimum order value set in any of the postcodes. Please see the T&Cs for full eligibility criteria.

  • I was never notified of this change and now you’ve removed my minimum spend without me knowing. We’ve done our best to notify Restaurant Partners of this promotion via either phone, or email messages and SMS messages. If you believe that your minimum spend was turned off without your consent, please let us know and we’ll happily look into this for you.
