How to change Ownership or Partner details

It's important to keep your details up-to-date. Making sure you have the right information makes it easier for us to contact you with help, offers and assistance.

Business ownership can change for many reasons; maybe you’re selling your business, or passing to a family member. Whatever the reason, there is a process to follow to ensure you can continue trading successfully on the Just Eat platform.

This guide will help you understand what you will need to get a change of ownership approved as quickly as possible. For this, you will need to provide some supporting documents.

Supporting documents:

  1. FSA rating (Must be in new owner's name)
  2. Shopfront (We must have a clear photo showing the signage of your shopfront)
  3. Menu (Clear imagery of menu)
  4. Lease agreements (We would need to receive at least the first couple of pages that explain the agreement. These pages usually state who the landlord is and who the tenant will be; it will be dated and will state the address for the premises. We will also require the signatory pages of the lease to ensure it is fully signed by landlord and tenant)

Proof of ID

  1. Passport
  2. Driving Licence
  3. Residence permit (plus at least one of the above IDs)

Proof of ownership

  1. Lease document, current (within last 1–6 months)
  2. Transfer of ownership document can be accepted
  3. If we are unable to contact the previous owner for confirmation of the change of ownership, we will need supplementary proof of ownership:
    • A lease document dated within 1-6 months from account opening and a utility bill or business rates with the new owner’s name on it
    • If one or the other of these is not available, then we would need a solicitor’s letter confirming the new owner’s ownership over the business premises/restaurant with effective date.
